Joe Ventura

As Founder and CIO, Joe is AlphaPoint’s head technology visionary and strategist. AlphaPoint’s genesis was driven by Joe’s recognition of the tremendous opportunities that secure, enterprise-strength blockchain applications can unlock in the capital markets space. In 2013, Joe unveiled AlphaPoint as a comprehensive technology solution that enables clients to manage primary issuance and operate marketplaces for trading digital assets. Joe brought over 15 years of software architecture experience to AlphaPoint, specializing in developing secure, scalable, and high-performance financial systems. Previously, Joe worked for Mantara, where he successfully designed and implemented multiple large, complex, high-speed, and low-latency software systems for multiple financial institutions, including Deutsche Bank, UBS, and Merrill Lynch, connecting to all major equity venues, such as the NYSE, NASDAQ, and DirectEdge. In addition, Joe architected PhotonTrader, a futures and options trading frontend for FuturePath, a Chicago-based brokerage connecting to CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX, Eurex, Liffe, and BATS. In cyber security, he advises as a steering committee member of C4’s CryptoCurrency Security Standards (CCSS). Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Manhattan College.
