Reba Beeson
Reba Beeson serves as AlphaPoint’s General Counsel. She has extensive experience as an attorney and capital markets banker. She founded Horizon Capital, a strategic advisory firm focused on fintech and renewable energy, and served as Deputy General Counsel – US for World Gold Council and its US affiliated sponsors of the largest global gold-backed ETF product suite (NYSE: GLD and GLDM), overseeing corporate governance, legal, regulatory, intellectual property and government relations matters. Reba also has served in roles, among others, as lead counsel for UBS’s Alternative Investment Group, SVP/Head of Complex Financing for BNP/Paribas, and SVP/Director of Structured Products for Pitney Bowes Credit. She began her legal career as a tax and ERISA attorney at Weil and Sidley (Brown & Wood). Her capital markets experience has encompassed structuring and transacting in alternative investments, ETFs, structured finance, project finance, derivatives, corporate venturing transactions, private debt and equity placements, IPOs and M&A. Reba earned a J.D. from Temple University Law School, where she was Executive Editor of the Law Review, and an LL.M. (Masters in Taxation Law) from NYU Law School. She earned a B.A. in Music (violin & piano performance) from Goshen College, where she was a J.B. Brunk Music Scholar. She attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Management Program (Corporate Venturing; and Leading & Building a Culture of Innovation) and Columbia Business School’s Executive Program (Blockchain). She is a member of the New York bar and holds FINRA licenses (current – Series 7 and 24; past – Series 3, 63, 65, 79 and 99). Reba is a member of 100 Women in Finance and Digital Asset Legal Alliance.
