New York, June 27, 2018 — AlphaPoint, a global blockchain company focused on enabling institutions to digitize assets and launch, scale, and operate digital asset exchanges all over the world, today announced expansion of its executive and senior leadership team. Michael Schmidt has joined AlphaPoint as the company’s first Chief Human Resources Officer.
Schmidt joins AlphaPoint with more than 25 years of HR experience including his most recent role as the Vice President, HR at Nasdaq, where he supported the Executives that oversaw the Global Information Services, Corporate Solutions, Market Technology, and Listing Services businesses. Schmidt has also held executive and senior roles at Bloomberg BNA, Vertrue, and Reuters.

AlphaPoint has continued to grow at a rapid pace, adding an average of 20 new employees every other month. The company projects doubling its employee base over the next several months across its offices in New York, Charlotte, Philadelphia and Pune, India.
In addition to the summer intern program, AlphaPoint has also implemented a program for graduate students, specifically geared toward recent graduates at the undergraduate, graduate, and PhD level from top schools across the nation. This rotational program trains graduates through various areas of the technology company: capital markets, digital assets, exchange technology, blockchain, capital markets, development, engineering, and technical operations before placing them in a department of their choice. The incoming batch of graduates started this year.
