The goal of the JOBS Act was to increase investment opportunity for average Americans. In practice, equity crowdfunding has struggled to find success. The panel explored how technology can save this opportunity. Our discussion was followed by an intro to the Fundopolis platform, a pre-launch equity crowdfunding portal running on AlphaPoint’s blockchain tehnology built with the goal of opening up financial opportunity to all. Igor was joined by other panelists Gregg Schoenberg, Founder at Wescott Capital; Andrew Dix Co-founder and CEO of Crowded Media Group; Scott Purcell CEO of Prime Trust; Daniel Ham COO of Fundopolis; and Justin Newton CEO of Netki.

“We’ve come a long way from people trading bitcoin in supermarket parking lots and chatting on the exchange’s trollbox.” From retail to institutional; security tokens to other digital assets, this panel focused on the new tool-kits being built for traders across the industry. In addition to Kristin, panelists included Steve Ehrlich, CEO and Co-founder of Voyager; Marc Hochstein, Managing Editor of Coindesk; and Yoni Assa, CEO and Co-founder of eToro.
